The Dura-Ace Front Derailleur is Shimano's top-of-the-line front changer. The body is made of cold-forged aluminum for lightness with top-notch strength, and the pivots are extra wide for amazing shifting. The lightweight, replaceable aluminum cage is nickel plated for durability. Plus, the 7900 is designed to eliminate the need to trim the derailleur to prevent chain rubbing.
Capacity is calculated by subtracting your smallest chainring's tooth count from the largest chainring's tooth count. Example: 53/39 chainrings: 53 - 39 = 14-tooth capacity.
Braze-on front derailleurs mount to either a braze-on frame mount (left) or to a clamp mounted around your seat tube (right).
For optimum shifting and braking, Shimano 7900 Dura-Ace components are best as a system (they're not recommended for use with previous versions of Dura-Ace).
